Since 1996, Lenny Cocco and The Chimes are proud to have Jimmy as part of our musical family. Jimmy plays guitar and sings baritone. He was honored in 1964 at the World's Fair with a music award. He has recorded with many of music's favorite artists, The Belmonts, Morningside Drive, Sandalwood and Spice and The Rising Tide. Jimmy has also performed withe a numerous amount of other groups such as The Capris, The Dubs, The Coasters and The Teenagers.

Sal Mazzola Musical Director/Arranger/Drums

Sal is a veteran to the music industry. Sal has had the honor of performing with great legends. A partial list of Sal's credentials are: MTV, Carnegie Hall, The Westchester Swing Band, Darlene Love, The Dubs, The Eternals, The Flamingos, The Teenagers, The Classics, The Del Vikings, Toni Arden, Johnny Desmond, Janet Carroll, Chaz Palminteri,The New York Big Band and European Tour with Sal Mazzola Jazz Ensemble. We are proud to have such a talented an accomplished drummer as part of our family and group.

John Scorzello Trumpet

John has been playing trumpet for Lenny Cocco and The Chimes for more than 10 years. John is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music where he earned his BA/MA. His extensive experience includes Les & Larry Elgart Orchestra, Blood Sweat and Tears, Machito, Hector Rivera Latin Band, Joe Battaglia's N.Y. Big Band and The Classics. He has performed for Billy Eckstein, Red Buttons, Dick Shawn, and Cab Calloway as well as shows at Radio City Music Hall, Nassau Coliseum and Madison Square Garden. |

Pete Miranda Baritone Sax/Woodwinds

Pete is our baritone saxophone player for over 7 years. He ads a rich and robust sound to Lenny Cocco and The Chimes. He also plays Bass Clarinet and Flute. He has worked and recorded with most top Latin American artists, including the late Tito Puente, Machito, and Celia Cruz. He is also on three Grammy winning recordings. Pete played for Rock bands including The 5th Dimension, Martha Reaves and the Vandellas, Jay and the Americans, and Four Tops. He is very versatile in his music and has played with many NY,NJ and Westchester Swing Bands, also Chita Rivera, The Duke Ellington Orchestra. He also takes time out to work for the Multicultural Music Group, Inc. teaching music and theory to school children through out NY public schools. |

Jim has played piano for the last 13 years with many groups from the fifties and sixties such as Emil Stucchio, The Drifters, The Crystals, The Marvellets, The Teenagers, The Chantels, The Cleftones, The Coasters, The Cadillacs, The Platters, The Del-Vikings, The Dubs, The Passions, Bobby Rydell, Connie Francis, Ertha Kitt, Larry Chance, and many more. Jim has received a MA from NYU in jazz performance and currently teaches for the Board of Ed. We welcome Jim to The Chimes family and look forward to great things ahead.

Eric Kay Tenor Sax |
Eric is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, He is also an accomplished alto saxophonist, clarinetist, and flutist, and has worked with many New York bands, including The Dreamland Orchestra, Swingtime NYC, and The Stan Rubin Orchestra. He has performed with Bernadette Peters, The Duprees, Vince Giordano's Nighthawks, Mary Wilson and The Supremes, Little Anthony and The Imperials, and Diana Krall.
